Republic Indemnity is currently recruiting for a Senior Production Underwriter. This position is located in our Encino, CA office.
Responsibilities
In this position a self-motivated individual will use independent judgment to analyze financial and risk data to assess risk quality and exposures.
They will determine appropriate recommendations subject to our management and underwriting guidelines, and will proactively build broker relationships by communicating our underwriting appetite and stimulating production.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery, follow-up and servicing requirements of all quotes on new and renewal accounts.
This includes visiting brokers to review prospects and triage applications in the broker's office.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of California workers compensation field/production underwriting experience.
Must be proficient with underwriting concepts and their practical application.
Familiarity with the Southern California broker plant a plus.
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
Uses communication skills to build trusting relationships and enhance service reputation.
Continuing education such as CIC or CPCU designation is a plus.
A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
