Sr Accountant - Accounting

The Sr Accountant is responsible for performing senior level general accounting functions, maintaining and analyzing accounting information for management purposes, preparation of financial and statistical reports, developing manual or automated accounting applications based on the need for financial management information, assist with monthly close of books. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 1. Performs senior level accounting functions involving the application of established accounting standards, principles and practices. 2. Performs financial analysis of operations. 3. Prepares financial statements. 4. Assists in the preparation of tax filings and audit work papers for both internal and external auditors. 5. Creates and maintains spreadsheets as required. 6. Provides support during monthly closing cycle as required. 7. Participates in professional development activities. 8. Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee and corporate financial records. 9. As necessary, develops manual or automated accounting applications based on the need for financial management information. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned or required. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.   Experience: Seven to ten (7 - 10) years relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcarefinancial management experience is highly preferred. Strong supervision and prior management skills are required. Must have a broad understanding of healthcare financialreporting. Ability to manage lead and staff level personnel. Ability to provide financial data for analytical evaluation of business operations. Knowledge of PC applications including advance excel skills is required. Must be organized and able to meet ongoing as well as special time deadlines and work under pressure. Advanced Excel and Access experience is preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to compose financialreports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and executive directors. Requisition # 18001721

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
